Prior to teaching at the college level, I taught high school English, speech, theater, mass communications and radio-television broadcasting for 11 years. I was also head coach of my school's speech and debate teams, and served on the Executive Council of the Indiana High School Forensics Association.
In addition to teaching, I have worked professionally in theater, film, and radio-TV productions.
I currently perform market research for the film industry, and present film lectures throughout Lake and Cook Counties.
I host a ongoing film program on Sunday afternoons at the Highland Park, IL Public Library, sponsored by the Highland Park Senior Center.

During my tenure as a secondary school instructor, I served continuously on the state textbook adoption committee; I have the ability and experience to select the most appropriate learning materials for each of my students and their individual needs.
