Learning a foreign language is a tough task for everyone and it is extremely important to choose the most appropriate method of learning based on an individual perception. All methods that used for acquiring a foreign language have pluses and minuses and there is no silver bullet to become a master. Nevertheless, I believe that the most convenient way of studying is online lessons.
First, online classes allow their students to choose the most flexible way to study. Moreover, they help people to save up their time instead of stuck in traffic jams on the way to the teacher’s house. Both of this factors are definitely attractive to busy people who lack free time. By the way, some people suffer from taking online lessons because they prefer to have a face-to-face conversation. In addition, it might be a problem to find a stable internet connection in remote areas.
Second, the cheapest way of studying is an independent program which is developed by the students themselves. They could learn only those areas of the language they really need. Moreover, they do not need to spend much money to find suitable materials for scrutinizing. However, this approach means that learners have to be responsible for their successes and failures. It seems to be a problem for people who are not able to manage their own time.
Third, personal tutors are able to help in many different ways, but they are not in charge of the content of the educational process. They can only say which things are correct or not. Furthermore, they usually do not have enough knowledge to explain why something does not work in a particular case. The hardest part of work should be done by learners themselves. However, this way might work fine for students who are experienced in language.
In conclusion, there are many ways to achieve personal goals with a foreign language, but I believe that online classes the most balanced and harmony ones.
