Question:
Should universities accept equal numbers of men and women in every subject?
Answer 1
Gender issues have been increasing in importance through the centuries. In almost every sphere of human activity, there has been a movement towards greater equality between men and women. Although I agree that universities should open their doors to all students alike, I believe they need not set a fixed limit on the number of men and women they accept in each subject. Answer 2
In the modern world, people attempt to get knowledge and establish social connections for their future, but universities want to find more talented and creative students. Moreover, nowadays, it is a widespread belief that while university admissions choose students, they must preserve equality between men and women. There are many arguments supporting both views, those for and those against.

On the one hand, it is evident that in the past, there was discrimination between men and women, and men excelled over women in all positions of society. Thereby, women had difficulties getting an education. For instance, in my country in the nineteenth century, they could not be educated because of not being allowed by that time's mentality. But now, this problem has been solved, and equality has been established between women and men. Because of this, giving fifty-fifty chances to both male and female students to get higher education may be valuable and helpful for maintaining equality.
