IELTS General Writing Task 2 - Topic, Answer, and Comment
In some countries, people are no longer allowed to smoke in many public places and office buildings. Do you think this is a good rule or a bad rule?

Use specific reasons and details to support your position.

You should write at least 250 words.
Smoking in public places has now been prohibited and people are charged for making this mistake openely at office buildings or other places. I think governmemt has taken a healthy step towards clean environment and people's safety.
To embark on, many reasons are considered to bann smoking in public areas for instance, smoke emitted from cigar or cigeretes can be harmful for surrounding people, who actually donot smoke and are indirectly suffered. Many office places need paper work alot and any sparkle from smoke could burn necessary documents of work place incidently, that should be avoided. Moreover, public places such as garden, theme parks, hospitals all need to be cleaned and free of harmful substances so, smoking is strictly prohibited at this place to keep clean air and safe environment.
This is however true, that many multinational companies have built a common smoking area on the top of building to keep other clients and employees away from this hazardous material. Research has shown that, in USA more than 30% people are suffering from lung carcinoma who even donot take up cigeretes, it's only due to surrounding effects. Hence, these measurements in developed countries could help to curtail it's ratio and less people will have to face such issues.
To conclude, open areas must be clean of all these disastrous elements who are emiitted by human beings because, these will have detrimental effects on person's life. Seperate smoking areas should be there to keep society healthy and free of harmful gases in the air.
