Deborah's command and rallied the men of Israel to his side. Together, they marched to Mount Tabor, where they prepared to face the formidable army of the Canaanite general, Sisera.

Deborah watched from afar, trusting in God to give them the victory. And indeed, the Lord fought on behalf of the Israelites, sending confusion into the ranks of their enemies and causing them to flee in terror.
In the aftermath of the battle, Sisera, the commander of the Canaanite army, fled for his life, seeking refuge in the tent of a woman named
Jael. Sensing an opportunity to deliver a decisive blow to the enemy,
Jael lured Sisera into her tent and then drove a tent peg through his temple, killing him instantly.
With their leader defeated, the Canaanite army was thrown into disarray, and the Israelites emerged victorious.
Deborah and
Barak celebrated their triumph with a song of praise to the Lord, acknowledging His faithfulness and His power to deliver His people from their enemies.
Deborah's leadership and courage inspired the people of Israel to trust in God and follow His commandments. Under her guidance, the nation experienced a period of peace and prosperity, as they turned away from idolatry and sought to live in obedience to God's laws.
