The 2nd grade's spelling words are selected by usage frequency, and they are listed in 8 sub-lists by frequency, mainly from the second half of Fry sight words.

We give simple explanations and examples for each word. These words, plus the previous 600 words, are the core vocabulary to cover 80 percent of elementary writing.

We have online tools, like interactive cards, but spelling is a sort of training on hands, especially for lower grades kids. So we provide lots of printable worksheets for tutors and parents to download and print.
