 IELTS Academic Writing Task 1 - Topics:Refresh Topics 
Academic Task 1 is a short report writing and the answer should be between 150 to 200 words. you are advised to finish task 1 writing in 20 minutes.

This task tests your ability to select and report the main features, describe and compare data, identify trends, or describe a process. You will be asked to convert a visual information source with a short essay.

The common visual objects:

And the normal questions in task 1:

The visual type list and task question list can help to prepare and practice Task 1 writing, but you may notice that some samples consists of two or more visual objects and have more than one questions, e.g., summarize information and indicate trend. The real test task isn't limited to single object or single question.

The nature of IELTS Academic Writing Task 1 requires you to understand and summarize any chart, diagram, or table quickly and correctly, then express your thinking accurately in writing. Examiners will mark your writing based on categorizing data, linking ideas, complex sentences, vocabulary, and grammar.

Academic Task 1 isn't as difficult as it sounds because it is just an 150 short essay under some specified templates, which are plain to learn from high score example writings. If you compare these essays, you will see that they are highly similar and are easy to figure out a few rules or formats to follow. Of course, if you want to get band 9 or 8, you must do better than all the examples in this website.
