Professor:Today, we’ll discuss a popular idea related to extraterrestrial life. Some people believe that if extraterrestrials have successfully traveled to Earth, they must be far more technologically advanced than humans because interstellar travel would require extremely sophisticated science and engineering. In addition, some argue that such civilizations would probably also be more civilized and peaceful than humans, since a violent society might destroy itself before achieving advanced space travel.
